Batik patterns are haute right now and can be found in the trendiest homes! Batik is a dye resistant pattern on cloth originally found in Indonesia, but the technique is also now found in traditional African, Chinese, Japenese and even South American textiles. You’ll find this tribal pattern in home products at World Market or Pier 1, but for a hefty price tag. No one wants that! Instead, check out our Tribal Batik Wall Stencil, Furniture Stencil, and Craft Stencil to help you decorate different surfaces with this dotted design for a fraction of the cost of store bought decor. Now that’s what we’re talking about! To show you how versatile and easy-to-use these batik stencils are, check out these 9 DIY stencil projects from our studio and our happy, creative customers:

The necessary components of household decor are functionality and personality. Albion Gould lives by this golden rule and her side table is no exception! Side tables are great for storage and style, but Albion’s was lacking in the style department. To overcome this obstacle, she stenciled her table top with our Tribal Batik Furniture Stencil using a creative combination of Florence and English Yellow Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. Now her side table is functional and phenomenal!
When Cupcake Wishes and Birthday Dreams set out to decorate a hurricane vase she wanted to go above and beyond normal crafting so she looked to Royal Design Studio for stencil ideas. After seeing our Craft Stencils and Stencil Ideas, she decided she would color-etch our vase with our Tribal Batik Craft Stencil. She used etching cream to create a frosted look to a glass vase and then used an acrylic paint dabber to add color to the etched design on the vase. There are so many crafting and decorating possibilities with stencils!

The beautiful boho chic inlay-like look of this pattern would be a perfect addition to any home, including yours! Check out the full DIY furniture stencil tutorial here.
