You probably know by know that you can use stencils to transform almost ANY surface, from walls to furniture, from floors to fabric. But here's a FIRST that we've seen: stenciling a washer and dryer to transform a tired laundry room into a decorative delight!
Erin from How to Nest for Less would dearly love to replace her old faithful washer and dryer with newer models, but alas her pocketbook was just not ready for the upgrade. So, did what any resourceful DIY decorator would do-she turned to stencils to transform them into lacy lovelies.
Erin used our Donatalla Damask Wall stencil and Country Gray Chalk Paint® from Annie Sloan to give her entire laundry room a quick and inexpensive face lift.
We especially love how she varied the stencil treatment on the washer and dryer doors shown in the above detail. Erin used water-based polyurethane to seal and protect her "new" washer and dryer. You can see the full stencil tutorial here.
