Accessible to anyone street-side, this super easy DIY project only requires Mandala Stencils from Royal Design Studio. Watch this video to see how easy it is to repurpose a wood pallet…
Supplies:
- Ananda Mandala Stencil by Royal Design Studio (size x-large)
- White and brown acrylic paint or any wood friendly paint
- Foam roller with tray
- Large paint brush
- Painter’s tape, measuring tape, and paper towels
Step 1: Create a whitewash on your wood pallet by first loading a paint brush with white paint. Remove the excess paint on a paper towel. Paint over the pallet following the woodgrain. Allow the whitewashed pallet to dry.
Step 2: Paint and secure the large mandala wall art stencil with painter’s tape. Use measuring tape to make sure the stencil design is centered.
Step 3: Load and offload the roller with brown paint or your favorite color of wood friendly paint. Offloading means to remove the excess paint you’ve loaded onto the brush onto a paper towel so it disperses the paint and helps you use minimal paint. Now your stenciling won’t bleed under!
Step 4: Stencil the mandala design using light to medium pressure.
Step 5: Remove the stencil and rotate the design 180 degrees. Use the registration marks built right into the stencil to perfectly align the other half of the mandala stencil design.
Step 6: Repeat Steps 2 through 4. Allow the painted wood pallet to dry.
