Apartment Therapy is one of the most influential interior design blogs that promises to “Save the world, one room at a time”. I’m sure you have already scoured their site with your eyes glued to every gorgeous DIY room makeover! We are so that our Royal Design Studio stencils have been featured on their site multiple times. They have graciously described Royal Design Studio as the “one stop shop for how-to's, inspirational pics, and of course—stencils”. Here’s what they’ve had to say about these 15 room makeovers using our stencils:
Apartment Therapy says, “Are your walls getting you down? Tired of looking at the same paint color, but have no desire to repaint? Why not consider sprucing up the look of your space by adding pattern with stencils? Unlike wallpaper, which is often used to accent a space with pattern, a stencil painted pattern appears more natural — and is also a relatively inexpensive way to make a big impact. But the real beauty of a stenciled pattern is the ease at which you can simply change your mind. If you get tired of the pattern, just paint over it.” They love our Endless Circles Lattice, Chevron, and Nova Trellis Wall Stencils!
FHJ Baby decided she wanted to a nursery makeover that focused on chic decor and delicate details. She fell in love with the pink and tan color combination and our Acanthus Trellis Wall Stencil was the perfect way to apply the elegant look she was envisioning onto the walls.
After decorating the walls with our Peacock Fancy Wall Stencil, Tanya Lacourse finally had a closet that felt like a proper woman’s dressing room. The bright colors and stenciling do not make the space feel small, but in fact make the space feel like a very special, hidden nook.
Anya loves the wow factor she gets from people who see her bedroom makeover for the first time. The Chez Sheik Moroccan Stenciled wall gives the elegant glam tone that she was looking for to the whole space.
Young House Love painted this bathroom floor with our Silk Road Suzani Stencil as an alternative to tile. This DIY project is within the budget and time constraints of most amateur design lovers. Anyone from beginners to professionals can makeover their bathroom floor with stencils!
Do you know what Apartment Therapy loves more than DIY projects? Ones that don’t look like they are. This nursery canopy is such a project and the results are simply stunning! Pure Style Home added luxury on a budget by painting fabric with our Indian Paisley Wall Stencil.
Bella Tucker Finishes and their Tennessee home were featured on Apartment Therapy. Their “home is a palette of calming, soothing colors, which immediately puts you at ease… Personal touches, custom paint finishes, fantastic lighting, and Dana’s sweet personality come together in a truly lovely home, one that is at once homey and stylish.” To uphold this look, she used our Contempo Trellis Wall Stencil in the living room, our Chain Link Wall Stencil in her daughter’s room, and our Skylar’s Lace Floral Stencil on the concrete floor of the guest bedroom.
With paint and our Camel Bone Weave Wall Stencil, Jason Loper transformed this little hallway to a bold, sophisticated black and white entry. The stencil design gives the small area such depth, making it look larger.
Beth Zeigler’s first priority once moved into her new apartment was to redo her bathroom. In order to open up the space an help it breathe, she replaced the lighting and picked out our Moroccan Inlay Stencil. The space definitely feels homier now!
If you are designing a new nursery or kid’s room, Apartment Therapy suggests that you stencil a wall! Stenciling a wall, like this Linked In Stenciled accent wall, is a better alternative than wallpaper because it does not damage your walls and it can be easily painted over.
Apartment Therapy has also featured our custom vinyl stencils from Modello® Designs. They can’t get enough of our stenciled stairs project!
