When it comes to room makeovers, we automatically turn to Pinterest to get our creative gears turning. We see jaw dropping designer décor, and have our hearts set on replicating the look. Happens to the best of us, right? Definitely! Shauna of The House of Silver Lining stumbled upon this room on Apartment Therapy’s Pinterest and fell in love with the deep green and pale grey color scheme. This look would be perfect for her trendy office makeover! Throwing in pops of green into a neutral grey space would make the room serene, but bold.
However, Shauna wanted a little bit more pizzazz on her walls than the room she found on Pinterest. To lighten up the space, as well as add pattern and texture, she planned on adding a cheetah print wall pattern. She says, “This girl LOVES Cheetah print and I fell head over heels when I found this stencil from Royal Design Studio!” She could have used designer wallpaper, but our Cheetah Spots Wall Stencil is a fraction of the cost so it was no contest in choosing which she would use.
She created a mood board to plan out her office makeover and to see it all together before buying furniture and painting. Would she like the cheetah print? Would she like the green drapes? Once she compiled her mood board, she was even more excited to start decorating!
She then pieced together the rest of her room with green Ikea drapes, Ballard Designs chandelier, and Wayfair table. The result is just what she envisioned and more! This serene, but bold room makeover definitely made her home office the perfect space that inspires both productivity and creativity.
