I have successfully completed my first ever stencil project and am pleased with the results. The stencil was a nice quality, however, I had trouble bending it into the corners and ended up tracing the spots onto green Frog Tape and placing them individually. Time consuming, but successful.

Not that easy!

I hired a professional painter because I didn't trust myself doing it. I thought paying him $70hr to do a back wall only and for it to turnout perfect was worth it. NOPE, he said honestly that it was bleeding underneath the stencil and he would have to go back in with white. He was frustrated and knocked over my daughter's lamp shattering it and the wall is mediocre at best. I bought brushes, black cream paint and stencil. I did not cut any cost. He charged me about $600. Make sure you know what you are getting into with this stencil.

We're sorry to hear about your bad experience. It sounds like your painter didn't really know how to use a stencil or to stencil with the 'dry brush' method we alway share and recommend in our videos because 'stencil bleeding' is not due to the stencil but rather the stencil application.

Product is okay but it arrived too late for my project. Eleven days from placing the order to package arrival. I contacted Customer Service at Royal Design but never received a response about the shipping problem. I will think twice before ordering again from Royal Design.

Cute Stencil

Love the stencil already, and I have only completed three sections! It is so cute!
Royal Design Studios- After my first section I went to move the stencil over and tape to do the next section and notice the black paint ( color of my spots) got onto the white wall where I didn't want it. This came from the trace amounts of black paint on the opposite side of the stencil from the first application. Because of this, I have only been doing one section at a time, to ensure a beautiful outcome. This will probably take me weeks, however I am okay with that to achieve the perfect look. My question is, I haven't seen anyone else comment about this issue, and in your tutorials it looks like they keep on going without letting the stencil dry in between sections; Am I doing something wrong? Could I change my technique to be able to keep going without letting the stencil dry? I did purchase the stencil paint and brush from Royal Designs as well. Thanks for any pointers.
Going to buy another stencil after writing this review!

So happy to hear how much you love the pattern! We do recommend using minimal paint (and a blow dryer if you want!) to have the paint dry quickly while stenciling. If you wish to share your project pics, we'd love to share them! Please email us at projects@royaldesignstudio.com :)
